We had to send the car back to the dealership in Georgia and Sequoia did a really great job for us. Highly recommended!!!

More people leaving Massachusetts head for Florida than for any other state, and the car goes almost straight down I-95 to get there, about 1,150 miles to Jacksonville and closer to 1,500 to Miami. The part worth knowing before you go is on the Massachusetts end, because the town that bills your excise can give some of it back.
Part of it, for the months left in the year once the move is finished. Your town bills the excise for the whole calendar year, but if you register the car in Florida and cancel the Massachusetts registration in the same year, it gives back every month after the last of those steps, so moving in July and finishing both in August brings back September to December, a third of the bill. That’s why it pays to cancel as soon as Florida has registered the car, rather than letting the old registration run on.
Cancelling is done online with the RMV, costs nothing, and gives you a cancellation receipt to pass on to your insurer. The plates don’t have to go back, because once the registration is cancelled they’re simply cut up or recycled. The refund itself is claimed from the assessors in the town that billed you, and there’s no rush, since the application can go in up to three years after the bill was due.

Shipping a car from Massachusetts to Florida costs between $800 and $1,400 for open transport. The farther south the car goes, the more it costs, from Boston to Jacksonville at the low end to Boston to Miami at the high end, and enclosed transport adds about 40 to 70%. Whatever you're quoted holds for 28 days once you book.
Shipping a car from Massachusetts to Florida takes an estimated 3 to 5 days. Boston is about 1,150 miles from Jacksonville and 1,500 from Miami, almost all of it down I-95, and where in Florida the car is going decides which end of that estimate it lands nearer.
Wash the car so its condition is easy to record, photograph it from each corner, and leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Take out anything above the 100 pound personal item allowance, and take your toll transponder such as FasTrak, E-ZPass or SunPass off the windshield, because toll gantries can read it while the car rides the truck. Have a working key ready for the driver.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
Yes. Every toll, bridge and congestion charge the truck pays on the way is already in your quote, and nothing is added for them after you book.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
You can cancel for free up to 7 days before pickup. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
