Charge the battery between 20 and 50 percent
Low enough that the pack isn't sitting full, high enough to make it through transit. Aim for the middle and the car arrives with range to spare.
Electric vehicles ship on the same trailers as any other car, and most ship at the same rate.
Not much. An electric car rides on the same open or enclosed trailer as a gas car, ships on the same timeline, and for most models costs the same to move. What's different is a short prep list: the battery should be partly charged, and battery-draining features like Sentry mode need to be off before pickup.
Most EVs, including every sedan, ship at the same rate as a comparable gas car. The heaviest models, a large electric SUV, a Hummer EV, or a loaded Cybertruck, weigh enough to take extra trailer capacity, and that usually costs more.
Standard pre-shipment prep is the same as any car. These four are EV-specific, and they're the ones that go wrong if you skip them.

Sentry mode drains the battery in transit. Teslas have a Transport mode that handles it; most other EVs have an equivalent setting in the app.
The carrier needs it to move the car on and off the trailer. Tape it inside the glove box or hand it to the driver at pickup.
The car may arrive around 20 percent. If the delivery address has no charger nearby, plan the route to the next one before the truck shows up.

Most shipments run door to door. If access is tight (narrow streets, low clearance), we will arrange a nearby meeting point.

It is a really professional company, and the service was great, and we also really value the environmental contributions they are doing. Thank you guys!! Will move my car again with you ❤️
We had to send the car back to the dealership in Georgia and Sequoia did a really great job for us. Highly recommended!!!
Professional service and reasonable price considering they had to winch my car on the trailer.

We confirm a vetted carrier and schedule the pickup. A small deposit goes through then; nothing before.
The carrier picks up at your door and delivers to the address you gave us. The balance is paid at delivery.
Most don't. A sedan or compact EV ships at the same rate as a comparable gas car. The heaviest models, large electric SUVs, the Hummer EV, or a loaded Cybertruck, can cost more because they weigh enough to take extra trailer capacity.
Charge it to between 20 and 50 percent before pickup. That is high enough to last through transit and low enough that the pack isn't sitting full. The car should arrive with enough range to reach a nearby charger.
Yes. Sentry mode and always-on monitoring drain the battery in transit. Teslas have a Transport mode that handles it, and most other EVs have an equivalent setting in the app.
An EV that can't power on or roll ships as an inoperable car, on a carrier with a winch. Charging to 20 to 50 percent before pickup avoids this. Our inoperable car shipping page covers how non-runners are handled.
Yes. EVs ship open or enclosed, the same as any car. Open is the default; enclosed is worth it for a high-end or collector EV.
Yes. The carrier needs the fob or key card to move the car on and off the trailer. Leave it in the car or hand it to the driver at pickup.
