Most shipments run door to door. If access is tight (narrow streets, low clearance), we will arrange a nearby meeting point.

Georgia trades more residents with Florida than with any other state, and with Texas after that, in both directions, and both are only a few days away for a carrier. Getting a carrier to the car is rarely the hard part here. The one real exception is downtown Atlanta, where city code keeps a full size carrier from loading or unloading between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., so a handover in the core happens early in the morning, in the evening, or just outside it. What asks for more planning is the calendar in the south and east of the state, because that’s where the storms come through.
Mostly from August to October, and usually by way of the Gulf, since the storms that do damage here tend to come ashore in Florida and carry on north over land. Four have done it since 2018. Michael crossed the southwest, Idalia and Debby followed in 2023 and 2024, and Helene was still a hurricane over south Georgia and dropped about a foot of rain just north of Augusta. So if the car is in Savannah, Augusta, Albany or Valdosta, a pickup or delivery in those months can move with a storm, and it’s worth leaving some room around any date that matters.

Shipping a car to or from Georgia typically runs $600 to $2,200 for open transport, depending on the corridor and the car. Florida lanes run $600 to $1,000, the Midwest and Texas $800 to $1,200, and the long run to California $1,350 to $2,200. Enclosed transport costs about 40 to 70% more, rising with distance, and once you book, the price holds for 28 days.
Most Georgia shipments take an estimated 2 to 7 days. Florida, Texas and Illinois lanes run 2 to 4 days, New York 3 to 4, and the West Coast 4 to 7. Where yours lands in that range depends mostly on how many other cars the driver is picking up and dropping along the way.
Yes, if you're moving to Georgia: within 30 days of the move, in person at the County Tag Office, once you have a Georgia driver's license. In the 13 metro Atlanta counties a gasoline car from model years 2002 to 2023 has to pass an emissions test before it can be registered, so it needs to be delivered with time to spare. New residents pay a one-time title tax of 3% of the car's value instead of sales tax.
Yes. Every toll, bridge and congestion charge the truck pays on the way is already in your quote, and nothing is added for them after you book.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
To ship a car, request a quote with your origin, destination, and vehicle details. Sequoia matches you with a driver according to your pickup window, the driver picks up your vehicle, and delivers it at your destination.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
