It is a really professional company, and the service was great, and we also really value the environmental contributions they are doing. Thank you guys!! Will move my car again with you ❤️
Professional service and reasonable price considering they had to winch my car on the trailer.
We had to send the car back to the dealership in Georgia and Sequoia did a really great job for us. Highly recommended!!!

Some Michigan cars go to Florida for good and some only for the winter, and on this lane the paperwork depends on which kind yours is. Florida is where more people leaving Michigan settle than anywhere else, and the drive is the simple part, because I-75 runs from Detroit almost to the end of the trip.
No, as long as Michigan is still home and its registration stays current. Florida lets a visitor’s car run on the plates of the owner’s home state, and that only ends if you take a job in Florida or enroll a child in a Florida public school, which gives you 10 days to register the car there. If the Michigan tab runs out while you’re away, you can renew online and have the new one mailed to your Florida address for that one time, but Michigan asks for proof of its no-fault insurance with every renewal, so keep the Michigan policy in place through the season.
Moving for good asks very little of the Michigan end. Michigan doesn’t want its plates back once the car is registered in Florida, so they can be destroyed when the Florida ones go on, and any Michigan renewal notice that turns up later can be ignored.

Shipping a car from Michigan to Florida costs between $800 and $1,400 for open transport. Enclosed transport costs about 40 to 70% more, rising with distance. Shipping a car from Michigan to Florida takes an estimated 3 to 5 days. The truck runs I-75 for almost the whole trip, about 1,150 miles from Detroit to Orlando and closer to 1,400 to Miami.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
One to two weeks ahead is enough on most routes. Busy corridors handle shorter notice, and quieter lanes benefit from the full two weeks. Booking earlier does not lower the price; it settles your dates sooner, and the quote is locked for 28 days either way.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
Wash the car so its condition is easy to record, photograph it from each corner, and leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Take out anything above the 100 pound personal item allowance, and take your toll transponder such as FasTrak, E-ZPass or SunPass off the windshield, because toll gantries can read it while the car rides the truck. Have a working key ready for the driver.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
To ship a car, request a quote with your origin, destination, and vehicle details. Sequoia matches you with a driver according to your pickup window, the driver picks up your vehicle, and delivers it at your destination.
