From Hampton Roads or Richmond the truck heads west over the mountains of West Virginia, while a car from Northern Virginia usually goes up I-81 and across on I-70, and either way most of Ohio is two to four days off. Ohio won’t title the car until someone there has inspected it, so the Ohio side starts once it’s delivered. The Virginia side has a step of its own, though, and how you take it decides whether any of your registration comes back.
Sometimes, if you return the plates the right way. Virginia expects them back once you’ve moved out, and if the registration still has six months or more to run, handing them in at a DMV customer service center, or mailing them with form FMS 210, can bring a partial refund, which usually takes about a month to arrive. Surrendering them through the online form is quicker, but it gives up the refund, so it only makes sense when there’s little time left on the registration anyway.

You can leave up to 100 pounds of personal items in one piece of luggage, placed in the trunk or cargo area. Some carriers will accept additional weight for an added fee; we can arrange this for you after booking.
If you find damage at delivery, note it on the bill of lading before signing. We will manage the claim with the carrier from there.

Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
