Professional service and reasonable price considering they had to winch my car on the trailer.
I'm really happy with the service!!! Fili is a really nice person and a professional.
We had to send the car back to the dealership in Georgia and Sequoia did a really great job for us. Highly recommended!!!

Florida sends North Carolina more new residents than any other state, about 33,600 in 2024, so this is a well used road, and at 600 to 800 miles for most cars it isn’t a long one. What can move a date here is the hurricane season the two states share, and what can catch a Florida car out after it arrives is its window tint.
From June to November both ends of this trip are in hurricane country, but a storm holds things up differently at each. In Florida it’s mostly while the storm passes, since bridges can be closed to traffic once sustained winds get past about 40 mph. In eastern North Carolina it can be the flooding afterwards that lasts. After Florence in September 2018, I-95 was closed for almost a week, and the road to Wilmington for longer, so a delivery to Raleigh, Fayetteville or the coast that falls in a storm’s path can move by days rather than hours.
Not if it’s near the Florida limit. Florida allows front side windows as dark as 28% light transmission, while North Carolina’s limit is 35%, so front windows tinted to what was legal at home are too dark once the car is on North Carolina plates. The state inspection stopped checking tint in December 2025, so it won’t fail the car, but the limit still applies on the road, which makes a car with dark film worth having metered at a tint shop soon after it arrives.

Shipping a car from Florida to North Carolina costs between $800 and $1,250 for open transport. Enclosed transport costs about 40 to 70% more, rising with distance. Tampa or Orlando to Charlotte or Raleigh sits near the bottom of that range and Miami to Raleigh near the top, and once you book, the price holds for 28 days.
Shipping a car from Florida to North Carolina takes an estimated 2 to 4 days. The trip runs roughly 570 to 800 miles, and much of it is on I-95, which runs from Miami up through Fayetteville toward Virginia. In hurricane season a storm at either end can push the pickup or the delivery back.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
One to two weeks ahead is enough on most routes. Busy corridors handle shorter notice, and quieter lanes benefit from the full two weeks. Booking earlier does not lower the price; it settles your dates sooner, and the quote is locked for 28 days either way.
Wash the car so its condition is easy to record, photograph it from each corner, and leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Take out anything above the 100 pound personal item allowance, and take your toll transponder such as FasTrak, E-ZPass or SunPass off the windshield, because toll gantries can read it while the car rides the truck. Have a working key ready for the driver.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
You can cancel for free up to 7 days before pickup. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
