I'm really happy with the service!!! Fili is a really nice person and a professional.
Professional service and reasonable price considering they had to winch my car on the trailer.
Really nice company, the whole process was fast and easy peasy.

On this move, the step that’s easiest to get wrong comes after the truck has gone, because the car still has a Georgia registration while it crosses the country and Georgia expects it to be insured the whole time. The trip itself is about 2,200 miles from Atlanta to Los Angeles, west through Dallas or Memphis.
Not until the car is registered in California and you’ve cancelled its Georgia registration, in that order. Georgia fines a lapse in coverage on any car that is still registered there, $25 at first and up to $160 more if that goes unpaid for 30 days, and it can suspend the registration too. So the Georgia policy stays on while the car is on the truck and through the California steps, and once the car has its California plates, you cancel the Georgia registration online or at the county tag office and only then drop the policy.
One of those California steps is usually new to a Georgia car. Georgia only tests emissions in the 13 counties around Atlanta, which means a car from Savannah, Augusta or Macon has probably never been tested, and California won’t register it without a smog certificate.
A Georgia dealer can sell to a California resident without charging any Georgia tax, on a state form where you declare that you’ll take the car straight out of Georgia and register it at home. California then collects its own use tax when you register, and since Georgia charged nothing, there’s no credit to take off it. The form says immediately, which is why it’s worth booking the truck before you sign rather than after. If the car is nearly new, with fewer than 7,500 miles, check which emissions standard the sticker under the hood names, because a California resident can’t register a new car that wasn’t built for California.

If the move makes you a California resident, these are the state's rules for the car.
Checked September 2026 against California DMV, California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. Rules change; the state's own site has the final word.

Shipping a car from Georgia to California costs between $1,350 and $1,950 for open transport. Enclosed transport costs about 40 to 70% more, rising with distance. Atlanta to San Diego or Los Angeles sits near the bottom of that range and Atlanta to Sacramento near the top, and once you book, the price holds for 28 days.
Shipping a car from Georgia to California takes an estimated 4 to 7 days. Atlanta to Los Angeles is about 2,200 miles, and a car starting in Savannah or Augusta adds a few hours of driving across Georgia before that.
One to two weeks ahead is enough on most routes. Busy corridors handle shorter notice, and quieter lanes benefit from the full two weeks. Booking earlier does not lower the price; it settles your dates sooner, and the quote is locked for 28 days either way.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
You can leave up to 100 pounds of personal items in one piece of luggage, placed in the trunk or cargo area. Some carriers will accept additional weight for an added fee; we can arrange this for you after booking.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
Open transport is the standard choice for most vehicles. Enclosed transport costs 40 to 70% more and is appropriate for high-value vehicles, classics, low-clearance sports cars, and any car where weather exposure or road debris is a real concern.
