Professional service and reasonable price considering they had to winch my car on the trailer.
It is a really professional company, and the service was great, and we also really value the environmental contributions they are doing. Thank you guys!! Will move my car again with you ❤️
We had to send the car back to the dealership in Georgia and Sequoia did a really great job for us. Highly recommended!!!

Orlando sits in the middle of the peninsula, well away from the storm surge, but a hurricane crossing Florida still brings its rain here, and in this city that’s what can hold a pickup up, more than anything on the road out. Once the car is loaded, the truck heads north on the Turnpike to I-75 if it’s bound for the Midwest or the West, or east on I-4 to meet I-95 at Daytona if it’s going up the coast.
They do, though here it’s the water rather than the wind that stops a shipment. When Ian crossed central Florida in 2022 it dropped 10 to 20 inches of rain, which put Shingle Creek and the Little Wekiva over their banks, and near water like that a pickup waits for the flooding to go down, not just for the storm to pass. So if you’re close to one of the creeks, a pickup date in a storm’s path can still move after the sky has cleared.
It can stop to load, but it can’t park there. The city doesn’t allow commercial vehicles to park on residential streets except while loading or unloading, and Orange County has been fining big trucks left on its suburban streets since 2020. So it’s worth having the car, the keys and anything you’re sending with it ready when the pickup window opens, and if your street is tight or ends in a cul de sac, the driver will usually meet you at the nearest main road.

Shipping a car from Orlando typically costs $0.65 to $1.30 per mile, depending on distance and destination. In totals, that is $950 to $1,250 to Washington, $1,100 to $1,400 to Chicago, and $1,500 to $1,750 to Los Angeles. Once you book, your price is locked for 28 days.
Most shipments out of Orlando take 3 to 8 days door to door. Washington runs 3 to 4 days, New York, Chicago and Boston 3 to 5, and Los Angeles and San Francisco 5 to 8. Those are estimates, because the day your car arrives depends on the other stops the driver makes along the way.
Orlando to Chicago is about 1,160 miles and quotes $1,100 to $1,400 for open transport, with an estimated 3 to 5 days door to door. The truck usually leaves by Florida's Turnpike and picks up I-75 near Wildwood, north of the city.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
One to two weeks ahead is enough on most routes. Busy corridors handle shorter notice, and quieter lanes benefit from the full two weeks. Booking earlier does not lower the price; it settles your dates sooner, and the quote is locked for 28 days either way.
You can cancel for free up to 7 days before pickup. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
