If your car lives in a condo tower, most of the planning for a Miami shipment is getting it out of the building, since the truck can’t come in for it. After that it’s a long run, because I-95 starts in Miami and a car heading north spends close to 400 miles on it before it even reaches Georgia.
Not inside the building. A loaded car carrier in Florida can stand 14 feet tall, while a parking garage only has to give 7 feet of headroom, so in Brickell, downtown or on Miami Beach the car comes out to meet the truck, at the curb or wherever nearby it can stop safely. If a valet parks your car, or it takes a fob to get it out of the garage, sort that out before the pickup window opens, because a truck that size can’t wait long on a busy street.

Shipping a car from Miami typically costs $0.60 to $1.30 per mile, depending on distance and destination. In totals, that's $750 to $1,000 to Atlanta, $1,200 to $1,500 to New York, and $1,650 to $1,950 to Los Angeles. Once you book, that price is fixed for 28 days.
Most shipments out of Miami take 2 to 9 days door to door. Atlanta usually runs 2 to 4 days, New York, Chicago and Boston 3 to 5, and California 5 to 8, with San Francisco the one lane that can stretch to 9. They're estimates, since the driver is usually carrying other cars with their own stops.
To ship a car, request a quote with your origin, destination, and vehicle details. Sequoia matches you with a driver according to your pickup window, the driver picks up your vehicle, and delivers it at your destination.
If you find damage at delivery, note it on the bill of lading before signing. We will manage the claim with the carrier from there.
Nothing is charged at booking. The deposit is charged 7 days before your pickup window opens, and the remaining balance is paid to the driver at delivery.
The truck waits until the road is safe to drive, and your pickup or delivery date moves with it. We'll confirm the driver's new window with you as soon as the road reopens. Snow on the mountain passes and in the northern states, and hurricanes along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, are the usual causes.
Every shipment is insured by the carrier under federal cargo liability requirements.
